Hello world!
Well, it’s finally happening. I’m making my book blog a reality. It all started with reading an ARC for one author I loved, then one more. That lead to me getting the chance to do promo graphics for an author. I was constantly talking about the books I read and the digital book journal I created to keep up with it all. Then a friend asked why I didn’t have an Instagram account to go along with all my reading. So I finally did that and of course that lead to a TikTok account to match. Let’s not forget the Patreon book club that started out great then fizzled out no matter how hard I tried to cling to that original dream for it.
For quite a while now all my reading and book journaling stuff has just been combined with my Calypso Creative Planning shop and site. I set up a whole Library section on my site to keep all that in one place. But for a while I’ve had this itch to make that Library section evolve into a whole book blog of its own. So now I’m making that happen.
Officially this is going to stand as my introduction post to this new venture. But gradually I’m going to be migrating all my book related content from my CCP site to this blog and library book shop. That means you’ll get to see new stuff as it happens but older videos, book journaling spreads, and books will be added here in bits and pieces. So be sure to check back and browse both new and older content that gets added.
The Goal:
For the blog part of this site, I want to share my monthly reading lists, book journal spreads, book related YouTube videos, book reviews, and more. I’m adding categories and tags to make it easy to narrow down my content based on topics, authors, and more.
For the library/book shop part of this site, I’m adding books that I read and would recommend. I’m breaking things down in categories for easy browsing. You’ll be able to narrow down your book search by my monthly reading lists, authors, my extras, format, and most exciting by genres & tropes. That last one will most definitely be easier on me for the new reads but I’ll do my very best for older reads as well. This search element is something I really wanted before but couldn’t do with the old Library section I have going on my CCP site.
I know this blog & library will evolve over time and I’m super excited to see where it goes. If there’s something you’d like to see, just let me know.
