Cranham Kings #1

Great start to a new series…

Who can resist a forbidden love / brother’s best friend type of love story? Let’s not forget the whole enemies-to-lovers and arranged marriage to someone else aspect of it all.

Nova is all set to fulfill her family obligations of marrying for the sake of alliances because that’s just how things go in their mafia-family world. And Jay has accepted the fact that the girl he wants is destined to marry someone else so he does what he has to in order to push her away. But as the deadline gets closer they both begin to question the situation and what can’t be. They can only fight their feelings for so long before their passion ignites.

Not all is as it seems and danger is right around the corner. They have to figure out who they can trust and what they’re willing to do to get what they really want. And then along comes a twist to throw things into chaos.

This is a great start to a new series. I can’t wait to dive more into this world of mafia families, college rivalries, and hockey hotties. Bring on the next one!

REVIEW – Witch Queen Rising by Savannah Stephens – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 🔥
Blood & Magic Duology #1

Fantastic Debut…

I was so pleasantly surprised by this debut novel. It was great from the world building, characters, details, to the whole overall concept. And I can’t wait for the next book. Honestly the whole time I was reading I couldn’t help picturing it as a tv show. It was giving me the vibes of The Originals, Mayfair Witches, and a bit of the Sookie Stackhouse series while also holding its own originality and character. Loved it!

Seraphine – Phine – is pulled back to New Orleans and the home she escaped as a teen. Then she was seen as an outcast because of her powerful syphon abilities everyone feared. Now she’s back as the Witch Queen chosen by the power of the heart itself. She never wanted to come back but now she’s ready to earn the respect of her witchkin community and protect them from what’s to come. She’s a total bada** honestly. She’s fierce and powerful, determined and protective, brave and so freaking strong. I absolutely loved her journey and want to see what’s next for her.
