Book Journal & Notion Entries // Beneath the Surface by Becca Steele & C Lymari

We finally have a release day for book two in the Blackwell Lake series by Becca Steele & C Lymari and I’m super excited. The release date has been delayed and moved multiple times. So imagine my excitement to find out it’s coming out later this very month!!! Of course that means I need to either re-read book one or at the very least revisit my book journal spread, Pinterest board, and Notion book hub entry to refresh my memory. I can’t believe book one came out back in September of 2024. That’s quite the gap between.

Check out my recent social posts to see the cover reveal for book two – Depths of Deception – coming out on June 23rd. I got the ARC yesterday so I may just have to pause picking up the next Red Ridge Sinners MC series book to read that one next. We’ll see!

MY REVIEW: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 🔥not tracked

Amazing start to a new series…

During an end of the semester party on the lake things take an unexpected turn. Grayson – the hockey team captain, Micah – the team photographer, and Ava – the figure skater – see something so shocking it leaves them questioning what really happened. And Cruz – the campus bad boy – was there to witness it all. It’s a night they’ll never forget but wish they could.

Now they’re back on campus but it looks like someone out there knows their secret. And that someone is messing with them with no apparent plans to stop. It leaves them wondering just how far they’ll take things.

As they work together to try and figure who’s behind this new threat and what exactly they saw, their whole dynamic starts to shift. There’s a love/hate and push/pull feel to their evolving relationships with each other and as a whole unit. Tensions and emotions are building and so is the chemistry.

Be prepared for a cliffhanger that will leave you checking on that release date for book two. This was a fantastic way to start a new series. It was a great read and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
